The Eventuri MINI F65 / F66 / F67 Cooper S / JCW Black Carbon Intake System is engineered to improve airflow efficiency and intake air temperature management for the latest generation of turbocharged MINI applications. Developed specifically for the F6X platform, the system replaces the factory airbox with a fully sealed pre-preg carbon fiber Venturi housing, enlarged intake volume, bespoke Generation 2 dry air filter, and reprofiled carbon fiber inlet duct. The complete assembly is designed to reduce restriction between the factory cold-air supply and turbocharger inlet while maintaining separation from heated engine compartment air.

The factory MINI airbox incorporates multiple changes in airflow direction. Incoming air enters the front of the housing before turning approximately 90 degrees to pass through the panel filter, followed by another substantial directional change toward the factory flexible inlet hose. Eventuri replaces this arrangement with a more direct intake path, allowing air to enter the Venturi housing and transition toward the integrated sensor section without the same abrupt directional changes.

At the center of the system is Eventuri's patented carbon fiber Venturi filter housing. The housing surrounds a reverse-mounted bespoke high-flow dry filter and gradually reduces in cross-sectional area toward the integrated sensor tube. This geometry is designed to provide a controlled increase in airflow velocity while minimizing abrupt internal transitions. The resulting configuration functions similarly to a large velocity stack, guiding filtered air toward the turbocharger inlet connection.

The housing incorporates an aluminum inlet cowl, a CNC-machined MAF sensor mounting boss, and an integrated sensor section. By positioning these components within the Venturi assembly, Eventuri creates a continuous airflow path between the filtration element and the downstream inlet connection. The bespoke Generation 2 filter is designed to work with the internal housing geometry, supporting a consistent airflow distribution as air exits the filtration element.

Eventuri also increased the available intake volume compared with the factory airbox. The larger internal capacity is intended to reduce restriction as airflow demand increases, particularly on vehicles operating with higher-output engine calibrations. Rather than relying on an exposed filter and conventional heat shield, the system retains a fully enclosed filtration arrangement designed to preserve a dedicated ambient-air supply.

The carbon fiber inlet duct draws outside air from the factory cold-air feed positioned behind the front bumper. Eventuri redesigned the duct using continuous curved internal surfaces to provide a smoother transition toward the circular filter housing opening. This geometry reduces abrupt changes in airflow direction compared with the original duct arrangement and is intended to improve the efficiency of air delivery to the filter.

A flexible, expandable rubber sealing edge connects the carbon duct to the Venturi housing. This interface helps prevent heated engine compartment air from entering the intake path while accommodating vibration and small relative movements between the components. The duct mounts to the original vehicle attachment locations using concealed hardware, maintaining a clean installation within the engine compartment.

Downstream of the Venturi housing, a custom flexible coupler connects the integrated sensor section to the turbocharger inlet plumbing. This component accommodates engine movement under load, allowing the carbon filter housing to remain stationary relative to the intake duct. By controlling movement at the downstream connection, the system helps maintain the integrity of the duct-to-housing seal during engine operation.

The complete intake architecture combines increased internal volume, a patented Venturi housing, controlled airflow transitions, and a sealed ambient-air supply. These features are intended to reduce intake resistance and improve throttle response while limiting the intake temperature increases associated with exposure to engine compartment heat. The revised filtration and inlet arrangement also provides a more pronounced induction sound under acceleration.

Manufactured from pre-preg carbon fiber with a high-gloss black finish, the system incorporates application-specific stainless steel mounting brackets and precision-machined sensor hardware. Every primary component is developed around the packaging, airflow requirements, and engine movement characteristics of the MINI F65, F66, and F67 Cooper S and John Cooper Works applications.
